Self-confidence is an issue at Bell High. Most students come from a background where their parents have not went to college and being extremely successful may be something they don't know too much about. This may drive some students to work harder, while other students let themselves believe they are not good enough and will never be anything in life. This can cause many students to become very depressed and lose confidence in themselves. This is why there are some people that don't try and really believe that they are bound to take the same road as their parents. They don't realize that they can work hard and achieve their goals if they want to. They believe that they are too poor and can't do it. Or they think that there are other smarter kids that go to better schools. They don't realize the potential they have in themselves and this is a problem that I think should be addressed soon.
