My thoughts on Modern Times

I really liked the movie because it was a very funny movie with a lot of very interesting hidden opinions about the life of the people in the 1930s. This movie showed a lot about the time period it was made. It showed how factory workers are like mindless sheep that only know how to work. They work so hard and long that they get sucked into it and become mindless zombies. It also showed how working for so long and tediously makes the workers go crazy because they just can't handle it anymore. It also showed how much Communism was despised at the time because Chaplin was immediately jailed for holding a flag that seemed like a communist flag. Overall, I just really liked how the movie was able to incorporate so many different issues and themes in a funny, yet very suttle way. It is a movie that I would definitely recommend.

Compassionate Science

I believe there is a lot of things that we learn in school that can change the world. All of the math and science that we learn in school can eventually be used for the basis of projects that can help make people's lives easier and more efficient. A lot of students always ask "Why are we learning this?"m or "Who cares?". Yet we need to learn all of this basic information in high school so we can have a strong foundation in math or science, so later on we will have the necessary skills to build something or be part of something truly revolutionary. I don't believe I have what it takes to be a Mike Ebeling. I really do wish I have what it takes to change the world, but I just feel like I'm not enough. That I can never reach the level of intelligence that these kind of people reach in order to be able to be part of something important. That is why all I want to do is get the paycheck, support my family, and have a nice little life. I can't imagine myself being part os something so significant. I feel like I will grow up to be a dad with the same routine every day and I think I'm okay with that.

The Future

The future in about 3000, the skies will probably no longer be blue, because of all the pollution. The streets will probably be flooded with poor people because the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. But for the people that are not poor, the world will be a wonderful place. There is going to be hot girls everywhere because of products that will make people slim and fit. We will probably not even have books and be reading everything through holograms. We will have chairs so we can fly and stuff so we never have to get up. We will probably be really unhealthy because the advancement of technology tends to make people lazy. there will also be constant war because as of right now there is a lot of tension and by 3005, those tensions will have all led to wars. The wars will be so hardcore and there will be nuclear and radioactive energy everywhere that we will all become retarded. Other than the nice little areas for rich people, the rest of the world will be a barren and radioactive wasteland. Poor people will leave in fear and poverty.

The time I laughed really hard

The time I laughed really hard was at a Japanese restaurant with my friend. The waiter was talking to me and I couldn't understand a single thing he was saying. I just nodded my head and said ok to everything he said. But as soon as he turned away I yelled to my friend "What the **** did he say?" The waiter turned around and clearly understands what I said and he just gave an annoyed look and continued walking. My friend and me laughed so hard that we couldn't look at each other without laughing for at least 5 minutes. We just found it so funny from the waiter’s perspective because he was talking to a customer that he thought understood everything he was saying. And then he just hears the customer tell his friend that he couldn’t understand anything. That must have made the waiter feel so offended which my friend and I just found hilarious.
